Polycom phones

|
|
A user may not want to take calls from certain individuals and would like to block (or auto-reject) these calls. Polycom phones support such a capability via its contact directory file via <ar> tag.
<use case: set up auto-reject>
- The user logs into his user portal on Config Server.
- The user selects the phone for which he wants to set up auto-reject (A user may have multiple phones.)
- Config Server presents a GUI to allow the user to set up auto-reject.
- The user selects the users or enters the contact information of the users he wants to auto-reject.
- The user activates the auto-reject configuration.
- Config Server updates the contact directory on the server to implement the auto-reject feature.
Supplementary specification:
- This is a per-user feature, i.e. a feature on user portal.
- Usability consideration:
+ option 1: Config Server requires the user to have a contact directory first, either personal or group directory, before configuring this feature. This requirement in my mind can simplify the GUI of this feature in that Config Server will just present the directory list to the user and let the user to check the ones that he wants to auto-reject.
+ option 2: Config Server does not require the user to have a contact directory first. In this case, Config Server needs to provide ways in this feature to allow the users to quickly select the users in the system directory to block or enter the contact information of the person he wants to block.
