Configure Snom phones to disable "Deny All" function

Created: 2007-08-19 22:38   Updated: 2007-10-10 12:39
Component/s: snom

Fix Version/s: None

Original Estimate: Unknown Remaining Estimate: Unknown Time Spent: Unknown

 Description  « Hide
When a call comes in to a Snom phone, the softkeys display several functions. Among them are the usual Answer and Deny functions. But there is another function, "Deny All". It not only rejects the call, but records the From address into the phone's memory, and any further incoming calls from that address will be Denied without querying the user.

This function is rather dangerous, as users will hit "Deny All" thinking they've hit "Deny", and then wonder why they no longer get calls from certain people. (This has been seen repeatedly at one customer.)

To alleviate this problem, we should configure Snom phones to remove the "Deny All" function from the incoming call menu. (The customer has reported that the latest Snom firmware allows this configuration.)
