XCF-1675 AudioCodes FXO gateway should only ac... Major Closed

 Description  « Hide
Audiocodes gateways, when configured via the sipx GUI, have an ACL so that they only accept calls from the sipXecs server (see section "Advanced Parameters"). We need to make sure that this ACL also allows access from any defined sipx HA distributed servers.

This will cause HA not to work and therefore needs to be fixed.

Take this out of 3.9.8 since we do not restrict calls on the gateway.

Lih, can you pls clarify your comment? XCF-1675 states that an audiocodes config created by sipxconfig will only accept calls from the sipx server on which sipxconfig runs. 1675 also states that the address of an HA distributed server will NOT be added to the audiocodes config. Has the functionality in 1675 been deprecated?

Lih-Shyng Tzeng - 2008-02-27 14:06
XCF-1675 has been reverted for now, unfortunately. With 3.10 sipXconfig configures Polycom phones to direct all 911 calls to the gateway. AudioCodes does not provide a way to handle 911 calls as an exception to it ACL feature. In order to allow Polycom phones to send their 911 calls directly the AudioCodes gateway, we have to disable the ACL feature. A request has been made to AudioCodes to improve its 911 handling. When that feature becomes available, we will bring back XCF-1675.
