Process names displayed by sipXconfig on the Services page are hard to understand. They need to be changed to something that is easier to understand for an admin unfamiliar with the sipXecs software architecture and the specific naming chosen by developers for components.

breaks sipXconfig restarting for some of those processes. I will have to revert it.

We have to make a parallel change in sipXconfig, although it's probably better to add some kind of displayable name in sipXconfig or in process descriptor.

Today I verified the issue in build,
sipxconfig 3.11.2-012536 2008-05-04T20:29:33 oem-centos5

The improvement has been implemented. But I have not started any testing on it as you are about to revert it back. Hence assigning back to you.
Please assign it back to us once the issue is resolved.

Moved to sipXconfig, if we require localizing process names it can only be fixed in sipXconfig.

The "Services" page is completely gone in 3.11.8-013932 so these strings are no longer seen.
Is there a new screen coming to replace it, or can we just close off this issue now?

The services page is still there. It is now under System / Servers and lists services configured for a particular host in the cluster. This issue applies in the same way to this page.
