Add this to the 4.0 candidate list for consideration.
It would be useful to have more detail as to why we want an outbound proxy setting at all.
Raised the priority to Major since without this improvement, call pick up and call park scenario in a NAT traversal scenario would not work. Below is Bob Joly's comment on this issue:
"- Call Pickup and Call Park scenarios send Refer-To: with target's contact which causes sipXecs to be bypassed. In order to have call pickup and call park scenarios traverse NATs, sipXecs needs to 'see' the INVITEs resulting from the processing of the REFER. This can be achieved by configuring sipXecs as the phone's outbound proxy. With such a configuration, 100% pass rate can be achieved for call park/call pickup. Solving XECS-1523 may mean that the problem seen in
Lg-Nortel outbound proxy address is defaulted to the first line proxy address
This is slightly different implementation: we should default directly to sipX proxy not to the proxy defined the for 1st list. After all the intention is to send calls through SIP proxy even if people configure external line as 1st line.
Assigning to Huijun who is a coordinator for LG-Nortel plugin.
Please make sure that phone does DNS SRV lookup for outbound proxy (otherwise HA will not work) and that external lines work properly even with outbound proxy set to SIPx. |
