A Pingtel customer backed up their production server, and then restored the data on a newly installed sipx server. Most functionality worked fine on the new server. However, auto-attendants didn't work correctly. Specifically, the default AA messages were heard (for both the normal and after-hours AA's). Activating Dial Plans after the restore didn't solve the problem. However, after clicking OK on the individual dial plan screens (at Woof's suggestion), and then doing another Activate, the correct AA msgs were heard. Apparently some configuration must be regenerated by clicking ok on the dial plans. However, it's not reasonable to expect users to figure that out. It shouldn't be necessary to do anything (or at most to Activate dial plans) in order for restored sipx data on a new server to work correctly.
