XCF-1048 UI for creating DNS records for HA Minor Resolved

 Description  « Hide
Configuring DNS still poses the biggest challenge for sipXecs system installation. This is especially true for HA installation. With the cluster management added in 3.11/4.0 the difficulty further increases as it is now possible to auto-configure and manage a fully distributed system.

This issue is about adding a user interface that guides the admin through the configuration of an external Microsoft Server based DNS server. This is the most encountered case of an external DNS server. This issue is NOT about auto-configuring a DNS server on the sipXecs server.

The sipXconfig UI needs to explicitly print all the required DNS records.

An extended DNS test capability needs to test every record individually. A "green / red" status indicator next to each DNS entry shows whether that entry is configured correctly and verified by the test.

The admin should be able to easily re-run the test as many times as necessary to get the config on the external DNS server right.

Help texts shall explain the workflow to follow on the Microsoft Server 2003 system.

Please describe DNS configuration for HA that prompted Martin to open this issue.

The UI will present user with a choice: 'caching-only DNS server' and 'full DNS server'. We need examples of configuration files for both.
